New Webseries Coming Soon!!

If you’re following her on twitter, you’ve already seen this trailer, but we’re so excited we have to share it too!! KayCee is producing and starring in a new webseries called Shapetown, USA. The description floating around the web reads An itsy-bitsy gym in Gilbert, Arizona and its eclectic collection of loony employees struggle to keep from being swallowed whole by the new, ritzy fitness giant, Shape Shifters, Inc.

As you watch the trailer, you’ll see KayCee a couple times. Muffin on the elliptical sounds like our kind of workout!

We don’t see a release date yet, but as soon as we do, you know we’ll share it with you!

KayCee to attend Onestopplus.com Fashion Show

Thanks to her PR, we know where to spot KayCee next! Monday KayCee will be headed to NYC to take part in the Onestopplus.com fashion show, the First Official Plus Size Runway Fashion Show EVER to be held under the Fashion Week Tents on September 15th at 1pm at the Lincoln Center. It is to benefit and bring awareness to the Creative Coalition, a charity that explores the ideas and issues that are at the forefront of national discourse. The Creative Coalition gives actors and members of the entertainment community, a platform to speak on the issues that affect our society. The Creative Coalition allows us to use our platform f entertainment to do more than just entertain — we educate, we motivate, and we are ready to inspire. 9 out of 10 girls admit to being affected by the way women are portrayed on TV. As a woman, and as an entertainer, we have an obligation to reach out to them and encourage a more positive and healthy body image. Other women walking in the show include Nikki Blonsky, Emme, Whitney Thompson and Toccara Jones.

KayCee to Appear in Gimme Mo’

This fall, KayCee will be making an appearance on the online talk show Gimme Mo’. The show, hosted by friend and former co-star Monique Coleman, is a youth oriented program aimed to hit any and every topic that affects young adults. Some topics covered so far (filmed, not yet released) include gang tattoo removal and teen homelessness. No word yet on what topics KayCee’s interview covered but Monique tweeted this on Friday: “Had a beautiful interview with @kayceestroh, She’s empowering, inspiring, & real. Can’t wait for you to see it this fall on GimmeMo’”

Disney star rehearses with Special Gifts actors for ‘High School Musical’

KayCee Stroh, who played Martha”in all three of Walt Disney Company’s “High School Musical” movies paid a special visit to Skokie School in Winnetka to rehearse with actors in the Special Gifts Theatre for their stage performance of the movie, which took place in early March.

SGT is a Northbrook-based non-profit organization that works with children with special needs, giving them an opportunity to experience theatre arts while breaking down stereotypes related to disabilities.

Stroh rehearsed and performed with the actors in the March 13 performance. Radio Disney AM 1300 Chicago will also be awarded with the Special Gifts Theatre 2010 “Opening Doors to New Possibilities Community Award,” which is awarded annually to a corporation or organization that helps SGT combat the barriers to diversity and inclusion by expanding the idea as understanding, acceptance and well being in the communities they serve.

The cast has spent the past 25 weeks rehearsing for the performance, which commemorated the theater’s 10th anniversary. For more information about SGT, click here.

Opening Night of CATS and a trip to Winnetka

Last night KayCee was out at the Pantages Theater to attend the opening night of Cats. As she was waiting for it to start, she tweeted, “Yay! Sitting in the @Pantages theater waiting for CATS to start.. I Love Broadway LA!! be waiting to see this one since I was like 5!!” She looked great, as always, in a black sweater and white pants. Now for those of you in the Chicago Area, KayCee will be presenting a special performance of HSM at the Skokie School in Winnetka. Radio Disney Chicago will be hosting the event and and will be presented with the Opening Doors to New Possibilities Community Award. The event starts at 2pm. For more info click here.

KayCee says CFC wants her to look like a pushover!

If you caught last night’s Celebrity Fit Club, you know it was drama filled night. From the feud between Sebastian and Tanisha to Sebastian knocking over a camera, tension was high on the blue team. And you’ll notice they show KayCee doing little more than giving weak attempts to calm them down. Then at weigh in Harvey told her she needed to “step it up.” We know our jaws dropped a little at this, as through all the other episodes, she’s been quite the strong leader, in our opinion.

After seeing the episode last night, KayCee took to her twitter to express her frustration saying “I love how CFC didn’t show me carrying things up the mountain by myself and leading my team,they r settin me up to look like a bad leader “ We had previously asked her how she liked the stepping and commented on how surprised we were about the portrayal and she went on to say (in a small series of tweets, edited for continuity) “I was sooo excited to Step! I had never done that before but was thinkin “alright now were talkin”I was also helpin my team & led the cadences. Bach was struggling so I kept taking him aside to help him catch up haha but that’s the beauty of reality TV they decided to paint me as the sweet girl that’s not a good leader haha but we all know the truth ” She continued to tell us that Harvey said a lot of good things to her at weigh in as well and that they left them out to make her look like a pushover.

Basically, we want to make sure you all realize, VH1 does not show us 100% of the footage. Like any reality TV show they cut everything to mash an image of every character. While we don’t believe they are trying to misrepresent anyone, we do advise you to take everything with a grain of salt and know that KayCee is a good leader. And she’s got the awards to prove it!

Celebrity Fit Club 7 gets a premiere date!

We all know KayCee filmed and worked her butt off competing in Celebrity Fit Club 7 last fall, now we get to watch the competition on VH1.

Season 7, entitled “Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp,” will premiere February 8th at 9pm (EDT) on VH1. A preview of the season will be available online at vh1.com starting February 1st. Additional video content from “Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp” including extras from each episode will be available on VH1.com and on VH1 Mobile throughout the season.

Battling the bulge this season are legendary R&B bad boy Bobby Brown, Jay McCarroll (winner of “Project Runway,” Season 1), KayCee Stroh (“High School Musical”), dancer and choreographer Kevin Federline, former “Baywatch” babe Nicole Eggert, Sebastian Bach (Former lead singer of Skid Row), actress Shar Jackson (“Moesha”), and infamous “Bad Girl” Tanisha Thomas (“Bad Girls Club”, Season 2). The cast will be broken into two teams, competing for $200,000 in cash and prizes and the individual celeb who drops the most weight will win $50,000 in prizes.
